Description
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure using tiny sterilized needles to create minor wounds in the skin. When the wounds heal, it causes the body to produce more collagen and helps to smooth the appearance of scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, and acne. You may also hear microneedling referred to as collagen induction therapy, or a Vampire Facial when you add PRP (ask us more details about PRP). 3 to 6 treatments are recommended for best results and each treatment will take about an hour.
How to prep for treatment?
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin, and NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours prior to reduce bruising risk
- Hold off on supplements like fish oil, vitamin E, and turmeric for 3–5 days beforehand (they thin the blood)
- Arrive with clean skin (no makeup or skincare products)
- Optional: pre-treat with arnica tablets 2–3 days before to help minimize bruising
